Hospitals in the UK Health System: Lessons for Canada
Abstract
As a model for national healthcare delivery, the United Kingdom's National Health System holds some important lessons for Canadians.
Thus in June 1997 a group of Canadian healthcare executives met with their British counter-parts to exchange information, ideas, and experiences. The forum enabled both groups to learn from one another about the respective healthcare-delivery systems, policy development practices and strategies for meeting the economic challenges that are prevalent in each country.
