Abstract

With this issue, we introduce the Journal of Health and Population in Developing Countries which focuses on policy and management issues in health and population.

Editorials will not be a regular feature of the journal. This avenue will be used sparingly and judiciously - only when we have something important to say or when we have useful information to provide that cannot be done otherwise. Editorials will be kept brief and succinct.

This editorial is intended to address several questions regarding the goals, policies, standards, priorities and interests of the journal.
