Abstract

This study identified and quantified the risk factors for perinatal deaths in rural Bangladesh. The cases were mothers whose infants died in the perinatal period and the comparison mothers were those whose infants did not die in the perinatal period. The study also identified some socio-demographic factors that were associated with perinatal deaths. Logistic regression confirmed that maternal age, parity and mal-presentation were associated with perinatal deaths, - mal-presentation independently. [To view this article, please download the PDF.]
