FACTS AND STATS

A recent study conducted for the Markle Foundation, found that the overwhelming majority (over 95 per cent) of Americans feel that providers and patients need to have access to their complete medical records, and the majority feel they should be able to access records online.  There are concerns about medical information being misused, but about three-quarters of respondents favor sharing de-identified information to detect disease outbreaks and improve quality of care.
