Nursing Leadership
In her Emerging Leaders column, Harris identifies technology, professional fragmentation and visionary leadership as challenges facing nursing today. I would suggest that these have been all too familiar territory for many nurses and for many years. I am deeply disappointed that these challenges still exist even though governments and the nursing profession have made efforts to address them, in many cases with some degree of success. Accordingly, while commenting on the challenges that Harris has raised, I also want to call attention to new and pressing challenges, including the need to reshape priorities and catalyze innovation.
