One of the more frustrating things emerging from the coronavirus pandemic is a continued proliferation of the myth that weather models are always wrong. I have seen snarky comments about coronavirus models being unreliable like weather forecasts. Numerous articles have discussed reasons why the public perceives modern weather forecasting to be inaccurate when it is actually much better than people think. At the same time, I have noticed that the public and some policymakers struggle to understand strengths, weaknesses, and uncertainties associated with the coronavirus models.
