Longwoods Welcomes Dr. Richard Lewanczuk to the Healthcare Quarterly Team

With Issue 27.2 of Healthcare Quarterly a chapter is complete and a new one begins. In October of 2021 with Issue 24, Volume 3, Neil Stuart, Health Consultant and Health Board Member, began his interim role as co-editor-in-chief with Dr. Anne Wojtak, Co-Lead, East Toronto Health Partners. In the heart of the pandemic Neil accepted the interim role with the understanding that it may take some time to find the right person to work with Anne, 3 years later Neil has completed his interim role. It was such a pleasure to work with you Neil!

This issue is the first for our new co-editor-in-chief and we are very pleased to welcome Dr. Richard Lewanczuk from the University of Alberta, working alongside Anne. Richard is well known in the world of integrated care, primary care, and chronic disease management. He came with glowing recommendations from many of Canada's health leaders. 

Behind the scenes Richard has been at work for you and Healthcare Quarterly since the summer of 2024 adding new ideas and a fresh look at our national healthcare landscape.  Stay tuned to see what new areas of focus Richard and Anne will take the journal; modern ideas, best practices, innovative movements, and exploring new ways to improve our health system. 

I am excited to work with this new team and look forward to hearing from you as we continue this journey together.
