All Awards will be presented at HealthAchieve2008 held on November 3 to 5, 2008, in Toronto. We encourage you to recommend or support your own accomplishments by submitting your work.

Leading Practices Awards – an opportunity to share what your organization has done to improve the ‘Patient Experience’

Open to all Hospitals, Healthcare Institutions and Health Management Organizations
Eight Leading Practices Awards will be presented to honour programs and initiatives that have improved the patient experience under six categories; Access to Care; Education; Family & Patient Centered Care; Leadership; Patient Safety, and Technology.
The winners will be profiled in Healthcare Quarterly and have an opportunity to publish their project in one of the Longwoods publications.

Open to all Healthcare Organizations
This prestigious Award recognizes those individuals or organizations that inspire, advocate and enable education in health, health services and healthcare management. Adjudication is by an independent panel headed up by Dr. Louise Lemieux-Charles from the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto.
The individual or organization honoured will receive a certificate, exquisitely framed, and an all expenses paid trip for two to HealthAchieve2008.

Award of Excellence in Nursing Leadership
Nomination Guidelines | Past Award Recipient
Open to all Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) member Hospitals, Affiliates and Associates.
The OHA Award of Excellence in Nursing Leadership acknowledges the outstanding leadership of an individual nurse in a senior leadership position who is employed in a member organization (Hospitals, Affiliates and Associates) of OHA.
The winner will be profiled in the Canadian Journal of Nursing Leadership to provide exemplars of nurse leaders who make a difference through their professional contribution to healthcare in hospitals.
