A View from a LHIN

 

Matthew Anderson
Chief Executive Officer, Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN)
Formerly Vice-President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the University Health Network, Matthew Anderson was appointed Toronto Central LHIN CEO in the Spring of 2008. Prior to his appointment, he led the development of the Toronto Central LHIN’s e-Health Strategy.

Matthew also previously served as Chief Information Officer for North York Community Care Access Centre, St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital, Toronto Community Care Access Centre, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, University Health Network (UHN) and West Park Healthcare Centre. Matthew brought leadership to the seven organizations (including Bridgepoint Health) forming an information management collaboration called Shared Information Management Services (SIMS).

Matthew has been recognized nationally as an exceptional Canadian leader who has made an outstanding difference in the advancement of e-Health. In 2004, he accepted Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 award as published annually in the Report on Business, which celebrates Canadian leaders of today and tomorrow who have reached a significant level of success but have not yet reached the age of 40. In 2005, Matthew was named CIO of the Year at the Canadian Information Productivity Awards (CIPA), held in partnership with CIO Canada magazine.
