| Philippe Couillard is a neurosurgeon. He was Head of Surgery at the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke and professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sherbrooke. A doctor by age 22, he was a neurosurgeon at 28 and was appointed Head of Surgery at Montreal's hôpital Saint-Luc at age 32. Actively involved in the practice and teaching of medicine as well as in medicine management. He has been Minister of Health and Social Services since April 29, 2003. | |
