IDC Recognized By International Organization For Contributions To Improved Healthcare In Rural Asia

The China Charity Foundation Speaks to the Impact of IDC Digital Radiography Technology

CALGARY, Sept. 2 /CNW/ - IDC (Imaging Dynamics Company Ltd.) (TSX: IDL), today announced it has been recognized by the China Charity Foundation for the impact its digital radiography technology has made on the impoverished and rural regions of China.  In January 2009, IDC was awarded a contract by the China Charity Foundation to provide 300 of its digital radiography imaging detectors for the planned implementation of X-ray facilities in areas of China where its people have had little or no means or access to basic healthcare. The first shipments of IDC imaging detectors were delivered in April 2009.

Mr. Li Bao Zhong, Vice Chairman and Director of the China Charity Federation (CCF) acknowledged IDC and more specifically, its employees based in the Beijing office for its efforts, "The China Charity Foundation is recognized for its humanitarian efforts in the successful development of healthcare facilities for China's rural and impoverished who have faced much hardship particularly with the increased incidents of natural disasters in the past few years."

Mr. Li Bao Zhong continued, "The IDC Asia team together with the IDC Canada manufacturing operations have been instrumental in making this a reality.  To date over 150 of the 300 imaging detectors ordered have been installed and the impact is being felt by thousands who normally would not have the access to this life saving healthcare technology."

"Our awareness of the critical situation in China and the efforts being made by the IDC Asia team to ensure the IDC digital radiography technology is successfully integrated into these rural facilities; has been tremendous to IDC and its global growth in this competitive market," stated Mr. Tom Boon, IDC President and CEO.

"Our IDC team in Beijing, under the leadership of Mr. Sidong Huang, has made a great contribution to the continued success of IDC and its success in the Asia market." Boon continued, "To that end, IDC is pleased to announce that Mr. Sidong Huang has been deservedly promoted to Senior Vice President for IDC."

Mr. Sidong Huang, on his appointment to Senior Vice President for IDC stated, "I am honoured to be recognized by IDC and the China Charity Foundation for the impact IDC's DR technology has made on the people of China."

Huang continued, "IDC's commitment to fulfilling its contractual obligations for this internationally recognized organization and the people of China makes me proud to be involved; with not only this tremendous contribution to healthcare in China, but the success of IDC's innovative DR technology."
