The foundation of stars unveils its new logo

MONTREAL, Sept. 20, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - The foundation of stars is Quebec's largest source of private funding for pediatric research and is proud to unveil its new visual identity.

The foundation adopted a new logo that enables it to update its image and reflect its mission effectively. Our new image consists of a magic wand and its trail of stars and symbolizes magic and hope.

A strong symbol which originated from children's fairy tales, the magic wand is associated to stories for which the outcome is often a happy ending. It is this image that this new graphical universe carries.

The magic of research:

The magic is a metaphor for healing and scientific advancement, made possible through research. These research projects are only made possible by the generosity of our donors that contribute to the financing of pediatric research and in turn, create the magic.
All of the funds raised through the foundation's events are distributed amongst Quebec's top pediatric research centres and are used to finance research projects of great importance. Every dollar raised is used to find cures for diseases that affect children all across Quebec.

"Our new logo is the result of rigorous research, development and testing with key groups of stakeholders including board members, employees, regional directors, governors and suppliers" says Mr. Jean Sylvain Labbé, Executive Director of the foundation of stars.

About the foundation of stars

The foundation of stars supports children's health research in Quebec to give our children the chance to grow up healthy. The foundation is recognized as the most important source of non-governmental funding for pediatric research in Quebec. Since 1977, the Foundation has distributed more than $64.5 million to pediatric research centres at the following hospitals: the Montreal Children's Hospital, the "CHU Sainte-Justine", the "Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec" and the "Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke".
