HealthPRO adds six senior positions in five provinces

Mississauga, ON, (September 28, 2011) – HealthPRO Procurement Services Inc., Canada’s healthcare group purchasing organization (GPO), has added six new senior staff positions in five provinces. The new Managers and Directors will strengthen member support and participation across the country.

HealthPRO represents the purchasing interests of hospitals, provincial authorities and Shared Service Organizations (SSOs) from coast to coast to coast. With 254 members, including 12 of the 15 SSOs in Canada, HealthPRO makes it possible for members to return hundreds of millions of dollars back into patient care each and every year.

“The unprecedented size of our membership and the market adoption of our contracts make our regional presence ever more important,” said Michael Foley, President and CEO, HealthPRO. “It is critically important that members actively participate in determining how we can best meet their needs.”

HealthPRO delivers reductions in healthcare cost across a wide range of sectors, from pharmacy to materials management, clinical services and specialties, nutrition and food, and energy services.

“Enhancing our national presence will ensure that we maintain strong customer relationships and engagement,” said Foley. “Our membership is looking for us to further promote national knowledge sharing aimed at achieving ever greater efficiencies, cost savings, and value.”

The new HealthPRO Managers and Directors bring a wealth of professional experience to their roles. Among the new staff are pharmacists and registered nurses – professionals who bring a common level of experience and understanding to bear in their efforts to meet the needs of HealthPRO members.

The new HealthPRO staff are:

  • John Hope (pharmacist), Clinical Director, Pharmacy Services, British Columbia
  • Mavis Munro, Director, Member Support, Alberta
  • Brandy Welden, Manager, Member Support, Saskatchewan
  • Lisa Griffin (RN), Clinical Director, Ontario (national focus)
  • Lorrie Ann Scales (RN), Clinical Director, Ontario (national focus)
  • Rachel White, Manager, Member Support, Nova Scotia
