Philips Canada and Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care partner on Canadian Green Health Care Digest

Combermere, Ontario October 18, 2011 - The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care and Philips Canada have joined forces to provide Canada’s green health care champions with access to the Canadian Green Health Care Digest.  Thanks to financial support from Philips, the Canadian Green Health Care Digest is delivered free of charge to desktops every second Friday by email.

“At Philips we continually strive to improve the environmental performance of our organization in an effort to enhance the health and well-being of Canadians and the communities they live in,” said Iain Burns, Senior Vice President, Philips Canada. “We are pleased to partner with the Coalition to ensure Canada’s green health care champions are receiving relevant and timely information on how to improve their environmental performance.”

Recipients receive the top green health care headlines from Canada and beyond on topics of interest to those involved in greening our health care organisations and communities.

“This is a welcome opportunity for the Coalition to increase our engagement with health care organisations across Canada” stated Coalition Stewardship Council Chair Kady Cowan. “With Philips’ generous support, we now have a communications tool that specifically helps green health care champions across Canada stay current on what is happening in their specific areas of environmental interest. This improves all our partnerships as we strive to advance health care sustainability and reduce our ecological footprint.”
