He has also served as an advisor to the World Health Organization, major hospital networks, HMOs, insurance companies, and investment banks in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
Professor Brown graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and received his DPhil from the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He has received awards for innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership from public and private sector organizations. A dedicated teacher, Professor Brown is the recipient of the Eugenie Stuart Award for excellence in teaching in the Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.
May I extend sincere thanks to Louise Lemieux-Charles for her outstanding leadership of the Department, now Institute, of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation since 2002.
