Abstract

In less than two years, Canadian hospitals will be required to be in compliance with either the new federal privacy legislation or with provincial standards Ò provided they are Ïsubstantially similarÓ to the federal principles. Healthcare groups should be working now to establish privacy compliance programs in their organizations.
