Abstract

This study investigated the perceptions towards cost-sharing in Kabarole, Uganda. The opinion of the public and professional groups about user fees was determined. The findings indicate that the Kabarole cost-sharing project was viewed as successful. Reasons for the success given were options for local decision making, community ownership and local management of funds. [To view this article, please download the PDF.]
