Abstract

This review of Sarah DiGregorio’s recent book, Taking Care: The Story of Nursing and Its Power to Change Our World, discusses how nurses and their formalized leadership have not always been aligned, especially on issues of social justice. The book provides an important perspective on the nursing role throughout history and the power of nursing work to change the world.
