Almost 80% of U.S. hospitals now employ a firewall as part of the automated security protection of internal networks and applications.  According to the survey routinely conducted by HIMSS Analytics, at least the 1,732 hospitals surveyed are also using:
  • Encryption (66%)
  • Spam filter (63%)
  • Intrusion detection (58%)
  • Single Sign-on (30%)
