FACTS AND STATS
The American Health Information Community, which was set up to support the government's effort to provide most Americans with EHRs in the next ten years, agreed to move forward on three priority issues. The three priorities are:
  1. Increasing biosurveillance, including reporting essential ED and ambulatory visit data;
  2. Developing a standard set of demographic, insurance, and medical history information for EHRs; and
  3. Defining data fields and algorithms for quality measures.
