Thirty-six percent of health IT professionals said PDAs should be used in medical and nursing school training, according to a survey by HIMSS.
Thirty percent surveyed said Tablet PCs should be used in medical training, and 19% said laptops should be used. Fifteen percent surveyed said other technology should be used in training physicians and nurses.
According to the survey, 59% of respondents feel that medical students would most benefit from technology used in training, while 19% feel that nursing students would benefit the most.
Results are from a May survey of 129 health IT
professionals.
