FACTS AND STATS

Electronic health record system adoption among U.S. office-based physicians has increased from 18.2% in 2001 to 23.9% in 2005, a report by the National Center for Health Statistics finds.

The report finds that 17.3% of respondents in 2002 and 17.3% in 2003 said they had adopted EHR systems. In 2004, 20.8% of respondents said they had implemented EHR systems.
