FACTS AND STATS

Consumers are increasingly seeking health information online. While some health websites are attracting more visitors, others are stagnant or have experienced a decrease in visitors, according to a survey by Forrester Research.

The survey found that 38% of online consumers visited general health websites in 2006, compared with 30% in 2003. Although medical research online has increased, 19% of consumers visited drug and medical device websites in 2006, down from 20% in 2003.
