Registrants for the HSMR validation process will receive annual results for 2003/04 and 2004/05 for facilities as a whole, as well as some breakdowns (with/without palliative care, med/surg, special care units) to facilitate interpretation of the results.
A toolkit will also be provided which will include fact sheets, a presentation slide deck, Q&As and technical notes to facilitate the validation process and associated communications. Consistent with the validation process used for other indicators, CIHI will be marking the data 'confidential'.
