The Authors Respond

Abstract
We appreciate the time and care with which respondents engaged with our work. Together, their commentaries paint a fuller picture of both the historical and current context for the financing and delivery of WCB health services, confirm many of our observations and challenge selected others, raise new issues we did not consider and provide a firmer basis for engaging in the challenging policy issues associated with expedited care and related WCB strategies. Despite the diversity of views expressed, we are encouraged by the extent to which many of our key themes resonated with the authors. Rather than respond point-by-point, we will focus on a few key ideas in both our paper and the commentaries central to the policy debate.
