There are currently over 20 million active bloggers in the United States alone. Just two years ago, that number stood at 12 million, with 57 million adult Americans reading a blog regularly. Today, over 300,000 physicians and medical students have contributed to a health blog. … Blogs drove an increase of approximately 50 million new websites in 2007. From March 2003 to March 2007, the number of blogs on the World Wide Web grew from less than 1,000 to 78 million.
