Improving Health Care for Elders at Mount Sinai Hospital

Older adults achieve better health care outcomes when their care is coordinated in a comprehensive, timely way. In 2010, Mount Sinai led Canada's acute care hospitals by becoming the first to make Geriatrics a core strategic priority. The hospital developed programs and tools through its innovative Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Strategy that allowed it to deliver the right care in the right place at the right time.

Mount Sinai Hospital saved $6.26 Million in 2012-2013 as a result of the implementation of the ACE Strategy.
