Artificial intelligence continues to generate excitement across healthcare. While many discussions focus on future possibilities, a newly published study from the United Kingdom offers something far more valuable: evidence from real-world clinical practice demonstrating that AI can safely support cancer diagnosis while improving efficiency
The study, known as Articulate Pro (Artificial Intelligence for Cellular Pathology Transformation in Prostate Practice), examined the use of AI-assisted pathology in the diagnosis of prostate cancer across three National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in England. Researchers found that AI could be successfully integrated into routine pathology reporting workflows, helping pathologists identify cancer, reduce diagnostic turnaround times and decrease the need for additional laboratory testing.
