UofT to Launch Banting and Best Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
TORONTO – The University of Toronto is launching the Banting and Best Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a new pre-incubation hub for discovery, innovation and commercialization, on September 19, 2012. It is to be located in the historic Banting and Best buildings on College Street.
The Banting and Best buildings were constructed to provide a venue for U of T researchers to build on one of the landmark discoveries in the history of human health – the discovery of insulin. The buildings are now getting a new lease on life as a hub for faculty and student entrepreneurs across the University.
