UW’s School of Pharmacy is the first new school in Canada in 20 years. A key feature is that UW pharmacy offers a co-op program -- the first in Canada. Students alternate four-month work terms with academic study, taking their classroom experience to the workforce and bringing work experience back to class. Co-op students are treated as employees and are expected to be self-directed, contributing members of the team, who learn on their feet.
