Presentation Topic: Data about Health Data
The increasing availability of health data brings a number of opportunities. Data can help hospitals reduce costs, it can help doctors better serve their patients, and it can improve public health by identifying new opportunities and better treatments. How can this data be most effectively used and managed? Avi Goldfarb will discuss his research on electronic medical records and hospital costs. He will then broaden the discussion to explore how hospitals and other medical practices can most effectively leverage the opportunities that data provides to reduce costs and to improve patient health.
