John P. Hoyt, Executive Vice President, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Analytics

HIMSS is the largest US not-for-profit healthcare organization providing global leadership in the optimal use of information technology. It represents some 52,000 individual members, more than 660 corporate members and nearly 30 not-for-profit organizations that share its mission. John provides executive leadership and direction to HIMSS Analytics worldwide, directing all stage 6 and 7 validations and derivative research.

John is responsible for defining business and IT strategy as well as selecting, implementing and integrating mission-critical healthcare information systems. He holds a baccalaureate in economics from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a master’s degree from St. Louis University.

Stage 7 Organizations and health systems must prove competence in data analytics which has been utilized to improve quality, safety and efficiency. John Hoyt will show examples of quality analytics from Stage 7 sites plus present recent data on correlations between Stage 6 & Stage 7 and other external benchmarking organizations.
