Off the Cuff
Healthcare Quarterly has already published one special issue on Child Health with an emphasis on Social Determinents. A second Child Health special issue will be out later this spring looking at Mental Health issues and now our editors are starting the 3rd issue on System Performance. They are looking for submissions that have a particular emphasis on quality and service improvements with measurable results; new models of care that have improved access, quality and outcomes; local, provincial or national initiatives aimed at quality, standards or outcomes; system integration improvements, organizational improvements that align strategy with outcomes; a call for action to remove barriers at the policy level that interfere with child health access. Mary Jo Haddad, President and CEO of The Hospital for Sick Children is Editor in Chief. More here. Or contact Dianne Foster Kent at dkent@longwoods.com.
