Longwoods Blog

Agile care is a term applied to an organization that has created the processes, tools, and training to enable it to respond quickly to patient needs and population changes while still controlling costs and quality. An enabling factor in becoming an agile provider has been the development of support technology. It is a general proposition of care that the cost of correcting quality issues increases as the problem moves downstream, so that it is cheaper to correct quality problems at the earliest possible point in the process.
Agile care is seen as the next step after LEAN in the evolution of delivery discipline.

Thank you Vancouver Sun – we had no luck getting this data from the provincial government which responded with this note received on Monday June 28, 2010: “Thanks for your enquiry. The Senior Employees Compensation Database allows Public Sector Employers covered under our legislation (the Public Sector Employers Act) to submit compensation information for senior employees, as per the requirements of the Act. Access to the database is limited to only those individuals and agencies who are responsible for reporting information. As a result we are not able to provide you with access to the database. For access to any particular senior employee’s contract or compensation information, please contact their employer directly.”
