Abstract
The year 2000 is less than 18 months away and many organizations, including hospitals and other healthcare providers, have not all taken adequate steps to address date-related problems that are expected to affect computer systems and equipment with embedded date-sensitive logic. Many hospital administrators have heard of the Year 2000 computer problem, but unfortunately not all understand the full scope of the problem and what they must do in order to properly ensure that they minimize their risk.
