Abstract
This article lays out the ingredients of a healthy organization, how this is a step beyond 'workplace healthy promotion', and the change strategies required to get there.
There is a mountain of research detailing the benefits of healthy
work environments for employees and organizations. We know healthy
jobs and workplaces contribute to an individual's physical, mental,
spiritual and social well-being.
We also know that a healthy workplace can result in higher job satisfaction, lower absenteeism and turnover, improved job performance, lower accident rates, and reduced health benefit and workers' compensation costs.
