Healthcare in Canada is always eventful, but the last year has been particularly newsworthy. All the elements of a good story - money and politics, conflict and resolution, tragedy and triumph - appeared in abundance. At the end of the day, while specific recommendations differed, there was considerable consensus among the Romanow and Kirby reports and recent provincial reviews. Canada's First Ministers also agreed in February on many of the strategies for the next phase of healthcare reform.
