"You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution"
- John Lennon, 1968
Revolution - "activity or movement designed to effect fundamental changes in the socio-economic situation" (Merriam-Webster 2009). Evolution - "a process of gradual and relatively peaceful social, political and economic advance" (Merriam-Webster 2009). Over the course of recorded history, citizens of the world have experienced marked revolutionary changes in cultural, social, sexual, political and industrial contexts. Often in direct response to these revolutions, various sectors of societies have evolved, adapted and adopted new behavioural norms and power structures.
